2024 Collings OM1, Old Growth Sitka, Mahogany - USED

(USED) Hot hide glue, torrefaction, varnish etc are all effective ways of getting a more played-in tone out of a new instrument, but many builders will agree that there is nothing better than good old wood.  Collings has been offering an upgrade to some specially selected old growth Sitka recently, and we're liking what we're hearing.  

This guitar has a top with some excellent silking and just a bit of the blue/oxidized hue that comes with some of the great old growth Sitka.  The mahogany back/sides/neck are of the usual Collings quality, quartersawn Honduran.  The neck is Collings' standard mod V profile, it has a 1 3/4" nut and measures .857" thick at the first fret and .945" at the ninth.  Long 25 1/2" scale, standard 2 3/16" saddle spacing and the ebony bridge has been upgraded to pyramid style.  Tuners are nickel Waverly.  

Condition is excellent and the guitar has no issues whatsoever, could pass as new.  The case is the new Taylor-built style and is missing one latch.
