2014 Collings MT2 Varnish, Adirondack Spruce, Maple - USED

(USED) If you've been watching shops like ours, you know that Collings mandolins have gotten pretty scarce over the last few years.  Labor and supply chain issues continue to force them to focus on their acoustic and electric guitars, and now there are only ever a handful of Collings mandolins for sale at any given time.  Well we've got one!  

This 2014 MT2 rings loud and clear, sparkly and articulate but gutsy as well.  It has an Adirondack spruce top, book-matched flame maple back and sides and the very desirable varnish finish.  Varnish is thinner than lacquer, so that the top vibrates more readily, and it's a significant up-charge on a new order.  

Standard MT2 specs include 1 1/8" nut width, ivoroid bound body, neck and peghead, peghead flourish and gold hardware.  Bound ebony pick guard.  The frets have been upgraded to Gold EVO and are showing no wear.  Strap button installed.  There are a few light dings on the top and a few very light dings on the back, it's doing just fine for its age!  Includes original TKL hard case in good condition. 

Compare at $7,200 (and a considerable wait time) for a new one!
