(USED) We don't see many "big" koa guitars anymore, and all koa is about the rarest of the rare. This Bourgeois slope D from 2010 has the kind of tight-flamed koa that dreams are made of, and Dana hand selected these sets for a good customer of ours. We usually call an all-hardwood Bourgeois guitar a "Bourgeois Blues" but this one has its own special name: "Magen David".
Once one takes eyes off of the outstanding koa, you'll move on to find some other great artistic details: rosewood body binding with maple purfling on either edge, dark ebony fingerboard and bridge, gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons (about the smoothest turning set that we've ever felt!) and a mahogany neck with a comfortable shallow C shape. The nut width is 1 3/4, string spacing at the saddle is 2 3/16" and the scale length is short 25".
One of the most distinctive cosmetic details is the optical illusion 6-pointed star on the peghead, and there are also dual stars on the octave fret with no other fingerboard inlay.
This guitar is in excellent condition and has the K&K Trinity system installed (blend of transducers and microphone, controlled via the included preamp module.) There is very light fret wear under the B string in the first position and a couple small dings in the top. Small pick scuff below pick guard. Includes hard case.
