(USED) If you weren't in a hair metal band in the mid '80s, you might have been in a coffee shop strumming a Guild dreadnought just like this one! Guild guitars have a reputation as workhorses, their built like tanks and last forever, cared for properly. This one just turned 40 and is holding up very well!
The D15-M is an all-mahogany, solid wood guitar built in Westerly, Rhode Island. The braceless back has the molded/arched construction, sturdy and resistant to cracking. The aesthetics on this one couldn't be simpler, brown stain, single-ring rosette, no binding. It does have a handsome rosewood fingerboard with some figuring. The neck is very slim, with just 1 5/8" nut width (more like an electric) and 2 1/8" string spacing at the saddle. The scale is long 25 1/2". Tuners are Grovers.
Condition here is excellent for the age of the guitar, with some swirling on the pick guard and very light fret wear. The action and neck angle are great, with healthy saddle height and good action. When they start reaching this age we expect to see the bridge shaved down to stave off a neck set... this one hasn't had that procedure, nor does it look like it will need it any time soon.
Would make a pretty nice meat-n-potatos singer/songwriter or coffeehouse guitar in just about any decade! At almost 6 lbs, you'll probably build some muscle every time you play it! Includes hard case.
