1964 Martin 0-18, Sitka Spruce, Mahogany, Braz Parts - USED

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!

(USED) Here's a charming little Martin guitar that has been pretty well attended to since it came on the scene in the swinging '60s.  The 14-fret 0-18 is a short scale spruce over mahogany model, a size that disappeared for some time but has had a resurgence in recent years thanks to the boutique shops and Martin themselves.

Sitka spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck.  This one has a 1 11/16" nut, 2 1/8" string spacing at the saddle, and appears to be among the last w/ Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge.  The Grover tuners appear to be original and are good working order.

Dings abound and there is some finish crazing all about the guitar.  A pick guard crack was repaired and seems to be perfectly stable.  There is a long finish crack on the lower bout that does not go through the wood.  The frets are in very good condition.

Action is 7/64" on the bass and 5/64" on the treble with very little saddle showing, so a neck reset may be in this guitar's future, depending on your playing style, and this is reflected in the pricing.  It's a pretty loud instrument, great projection.  Includes non-original hard case.
