1996 Collings D1, Sitka Spruce, Mahogany - USED - SOLD

(USED) Just what the doctor ordered, a pre-owned Collings dreadnought with a story to tell and a song to share!  Built way back in 1996, this is pretty "vintage" as Collings go, and it's remarkable how dialed in the Collings sound was, even way back then.  

This one has a Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides and a 1 11/16" nut width.  All of the "1 style" appointments are there, from tortoise binding to ebony fingerboard w/ dot inlay to B/W/B top purfling.  The tuners are Waverly.  It has a re-glued center seam separation (cleated and stable) and the bridge has also been re-glued.  There are various dings and shallow scratches all around the guitar, and minimal fret wear under the unwound strings.  This one arrived with a non-original Gator hard case, but let us know if you would like to discuss upgrading to something else.
