(USED) It was only natural that fingerpicking god Leo Kottke would team up with Taylor on a signature model 12-string, we think that 12s are one of the most satisfying categories that they make, and Leo wanted something dependable that he could travel with and replace at a moment's notice if necessary. These are built on a jumbo platform, with 17" lower bout width and 4 1/2" body depth at the tail block. Sitka spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck. Soft cutaway for access to the upper frets. The appointments are simple and elegant, with rosewood binding on the body and fingerboard and green accents in the purfling, front and back.
The neck has a 1 7/8" nut width, 2 3/8" string spacing at the saddle and a long 25 5/8" scale length. The neck depth measures .875" at the first fret and .895" at the 9th. The fingerboard and bridge are ebony. Tuners are gold Grovers.
Condition is very good with a repaired top crack on the bass side of the lower bout. The electronics have been removed. The guitar has a strong sound and, like many 12-strings, seems to like being tuned down 1-2 steps. Includes hard case.
