(USED) Just arrived on consignment, a Huss & Dalton DS, 14-fret with an Adirondack top, Indian rosewood back and sides and a dark sunburst finish. This is a long-scale slope-shouldered dreadnought, reminiscent of an Advanced Jumbo, with a very focused bass and well-defined, sparkly trebles. The instrument has tons of headroom, and responds very well to heavy strumming or picking.
Why the bargain price, you ask? This guitar suffered a crack at the base of the headstock, which was professionally repaired at Gruhn Guitars in Nashville. We attempted to highlight the area in photographs, but the repair is practically invisible, and the guitar is perfectly sound, structurally.
So back to the specs: 1 3/4″ nut width, 2 1/4″ string spacing at the saddle. Flame maple binding on the neck and body, and a custom inlay pattern on the ebony fingerboard. Adirondack spruce braces. Waverly open-back tuners. Hardly a bit of fretwear, and one noticeable ding on the back of the peghead (pictured). No dings or scratches on the the body or neck. K&K pickup installed.
This is an extremely fine guitar at an extremely attractive price! If you ask us, the crew at Huss & Dalton can do no wrong.
