(USED) Collings D1A SB custom, Varnish Finish, flourish, Brazilian Parts – $4,650

(USED) It’s no secret that Collings’ mahogany dreadnoughts are some of the fiercest flatpickers around. The crew in Austin has a knack for getting serious volume and clarity out of their dreads, and this particular guitar has those in spades.

This sunburst 2010 model is in excellent condition, with no structural issues. There is one noticeable ding on the treble side of the upper bout, which we’ve accounted for in the price and represented in the pictures… so there’s nothing stopping you from really ripping into this guitar! Adirondack top means almost unlimited headroom, and varnish finish means that the top is free to move move MOVE, baby.

Specs include 1 11/16″ nut width with 2 3/16″ string spacing at the saddle, fully tortoise-bound body, neck and peghead, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, flourish inlay on the headstock. Ebony strap button professionally installed in the proper spot on the heel.

A D1A SB Varnish ordered new today approaches $7K. This nicely played-in example offers a lot of bang for a lot fewer bucks!

This guitar has Brazilian components and cannot be shipped outside the US.
