SOLD – (USED) Bourgeois Vintage OM, Adirondack Spruce, Brazilian Rosewood, Hide Glue – SOLD

(USED) Dana Bourgeois is directly responsible for bringing the OM back into fashion, having collaborated with Martin in the early 80s to breath new life into this classic model, and having built several thousand under his own name ever since. It is our favorite model that comes out of this shop, and we believe that he gets the voicing just right on these, the projection and balance that we expect from this shape, but with a warm, organic quality to the tone that isn’t missing sparkle in any register.

This example is great in every way, built with premium Adirondack spruce for the top and a jaw-dropping, perfectly quartered set of Brazilian rosewood for the back and sides. Combined with Adirondack spruce bracing and hide glue construction, Dana pulled out all the stops on this custom instrument, and the results are just about perfect for fingerstyle, or even strumming to accompany voice.

1 23/32″ nut, a strong 2 5/16″ string spacing at the saddle, full-scale, ivoroid bound with herringbone top trim, pyramid bridge and open-back Waverly tuners. The condition is EX+ with no dings, scratches or structural issues. It has been exceptionally well cared for.
