(USED) Another blast from Collings’ past, here is a 1999 OM3 in Brazilian and Adirondack with the rare cutaway option! We don’t see many Collings guitars this close to their 20th birthday (most players who own such an instrument will never part with it) and this one is special indeed.
This is an OM3, so the appointments include bound neck and peghead, abalone rosette, gold tuners, no fingerboard inlay and Style 3 marquetry backstrip. The Brazilian rosewood is impeccably bookmatched, is the color of dark chocolate and has a fair bit of landscaping. The Adirondack spruce has aged to a nice golden color.
1 3/4″ nut, 2 1/4″ string spacing at the saddle. Full 25.5″ scale. In excellent condition with no visible fretwear and only one appreciable ding in the top, near the binding on the horn of the cutaway.
The sound is big and clear with the “Collings burn” in the midrange. Comes with original TKL case.
