(NEW) Waterloo WL-K, Kel Kroydon Inspired, Spruce, Mahogany – $2,340

(NEW) Bill Collings and his Waterloo line of guitars have really caught the world’s attention. The WL-K, inspired by the depression-era Kel Kroydon guitars that Gibson was producing, is one of the most intriguing models in the lineup. It’s ultra-light weight, usually coming in around or under 3 lbs, and comes with a recommendation to use 11 gauge strings.

Being a 12-fretter, the WL-K has a sweetness and increased bass response, but perhaps a little less projection than the flagship WL-14. It’s a great blues guitar, of course, but has also gotten a lot of traction with singer/songwriters like Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy.

X-Braced top with non-adjustable carbon fiber neck reinforcement. Low-oval neck profile with 1 3/4″ nut width and 2 5/16 string spacing at the saddle. Gorgeous pale sunburst finish, ivoroid top binding and no binding on the back. Stew Mac Golden Age tuners with ebony buttons. Comes with original TKL hardshell case.

Serial #1131
