(NEW) Waterloo WL-12, Jet Black, 12-Fret, Sitka, Maple – SOLD

(NEW) We’ve been looking forward to this one for a while! Over the last year, Collings/Waterloo has built a few custom WL-12s for the likes of Rodney Crowell, St. Vincent, and others using their popular jet black finish option. Now that option is available to the rest of us! Looks sharp, doesn’t it?

The WL-12 is an x-braced, 12-fret L-00 size that features a select spruce top and maple back and sides. 1 3/4″ nut, 2 3/8″ string spacing at the saddle. Rosewood fingerboard, ebony bridge and nut. Short (24.9″) scale and feather-light. Extremely thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

Excellent for blues, of course, but the WL-12 has a slightly warmer sound, thanks to the 12-fret configuration which moves the bridge closer to the center of the lower bout, increasing bass response. Very cool!
