To those more familiar with jumbos of the short scale, “35” variety, the Advanced Jumbo is a whole other animal. This guitar is a full 25.5″ scale, and though it’s not lacking in warmth and tonal complexity (thank you, Madagascar rosewood!) it has monstrous volume and projection when played with a pick. Worry not, the Gibby “thump” remains, and though the Adirondack spruce top means headroom galore, the guitar is also very dynamic, sensitive and responsive to a softer touch (say, the flesh of the fingers on your right hand.)
So if you’re reading this ad, you know that there are only a handful of any given model of Kopp in the wild at any given time, and we feel very fortunate to have received this guitar new from the man himself. Specs include 1 3/4″ nut and 2 1/4″ spacing at the saddle, a comfortable “C” shaped bound neck that fills up the hand, but doesn’t feel bulky… Madagascar rosewood fingerboard and bridge, tall drop-in saddle, Waverly tuners, custom fretboard inlays, and of course, who can deny the WONDERFUL hand-rubbed sunburst!? A thing of beauty, gets us every time.
With original deluxe hardshell case.
