(NEW) Huss & Dalton T-0014 “Road Edition” with Torrefied Sitka, Indian Rosewood – SOLD

(NEW) Oh, we’ve got guitars! Shiny ones, expensive ones, vintage ones… this T-0014 is none of the above! Part of Huss & Dalton’s “Road Edition” line, wherein a satin finish, simple cosmetics and slightly less expensive tuners add up to create a no-nonsense, handmade guitar that looks and sounds great without breaking the bank.

The 14-fret 00 has been a very popular size for H&D, and it’s easy to see why. It is slightly smaller than an OM, but bigger than most 12-fret and parlour guitars, so there is a lot of versatility and comfort to be had. Sound-wise, a good 00 will compete with an Orchestra Model for tone and volume, all the while being easy on tired shoulders and fingers.

This guitar has torrefied or thermo-cured Sitka, a process that ages the wood in an oxygen-free kiln to create a super-stiff top that responds much like that of a vintage guitar (with looks to match!) Indian rosewood back and sides, and we’ve said it before, we’re very impressed by the cosmetic quality of the wood used on these less expensive H&D guitars. Short scale with 1 23/32″ nut width, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, Gotoh 0933 closed-back tuners.

The sound is dry for a rosewood guitar, with good string to string balance, plenty of clarity and projection. Includes TKL hardshell case.
