(NEW) Huss & Dalton DR-H, Radiused Top Dreadnought, Thermo-Cured Sitka, Rosewood – $3,658

(NEW) It’s hard to find more bang for your buck in a small-shop guitar… the DR-H is Huss & Dalton’s twist on the traditional square-shouldered dreadnought.  It has a big sound, classic good looks, and a few deluxe features not found on other makers’ guitars in this price range.

This instrument is a bluegrass MONSTER!  Featuring a super wide-grained thermo-cured (torrefied) Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, it is loud and warm sounding, bass-forward but with plenty of clarity in the mids and highs.  The DR-H is designed with a slightly larger sound hole (vs, say a D28 or H&D’s own TD-R) and a tighter top radius, and this helps to keep the bass a healthy rumble without it ever losing focus.

Full-scale with a 1 23/32″ nut width (fast rising in popularity at our shop, thanks to it being the perfect “in between” of the popular 1 11/16″ and 1 3/4″ widths) and has maple body binding and gold Gotoh tuners.  The string spacing at the bone saddle is 2 1/4″.  Includes original TKL hardshell case.

Another winner from our friends in Virginia!
