(NEW) – The H&D Crossroads. One of H&D’s most popular models: a very exciting newer model, a new take on an “old” idea from the from the good folks at Huss & Dalton.
Very traditional in appearance, and decidedly “vintage” in tone, this tobacco sunburst L-OO style guitar is the most authentic modern production-shop interpretation of a 30’s style L-OO blues guitar that we have played. Woody, warm, bluesy, and so LIGHT! This thing weighs a little over 3.4 pounds. Did we mention that it was “light?” It practically floats, and the notes just sneak and fly out like moths escaping from a musty old guitar case. Add whisky, and you’ve got the blues. Features include a short 24.75″ scale for authentic bluesy feel and a really warm low end. As you would expect, the top is sitka spruce and the firestripe tortoise style pickguard adds to the authentic appeal as do the satin ebony peghead veneer, satin finish neck, 1 and 3/4″ nut width, rosewood fretboard and bridge and Gotoh Kluson vintage-style tuners with ivoroid knobs.
But the three keys are the tone, the vintage vibe and the LOW price.
With Huss & Dalton tweed case.
