(NEW) Baleno O-14 Mahogany/Adirondack – $2,850

(NEW) We are pleased as can be to be the exclusive dealer for Baleno Instruments. Chuck Baleno is a talented guitar builder from our part of the world, and his impeccably made guitars have garnered a lot of attention around here over the last couple years. On first glance a Baleno might look like the familiar Martins and Gibsons that we all know and love, but there’s a lot more going on, inside and out.

Take this 14-fret O for instance: this little beauty has the premium grade Adirondack spruce and genuine South American mahogany that we expect from Chuck, along with some beautiful appointments rosewood binding… the styling is not unlike what we see on some of the more decked-out Larrivée and Froggy Bottom instruments. But under the hood, there is technology to spare: a full bolt-on neck joint, carbon fiber reinforced neck with two-way adjustable truss rod, stainless steel frets, and a compensated bone nut and saddle for uncanny intonation, just for starters.

The tone is warm but crisp. The old cliché “it sounds bigger than it looks” certainly applies here. This guitar has small guitar sparkle and clarity, but medium guitar presence… not a dreadnought rumble by any stretch, but this O will bow to no OM.

Others specs, for the spec-inclined: 1 3/4″ nut width, 2 1/4″ spacing at the saddle, Waverly tuners, ebony fingerboard/bridge/pins.

We don’t know how much longer we’ll be able to offer these fantastic, American-made individually handcrafted guitars at these wallet-friendly prices. Chuck is building about a dozen guitar per year at this point. The time is right for you to familiarize yourself with Mr. Baleno’s work!

Includes hardshell case and lifetime warranty to the original owner.
